On this project in Chalfont, being eco-friendly was really important! The homeowners had recently installed solar panels on the rear slope of the roof and didn't want to incur an extra expense to remove and replace them. Summit Roofing & Siding paid special attention to this area and meshed the new Owens Corning "Slatestone Gray" dimensional shingles with the existing three-tab shingles to create a water tight, seamless transition. With the new installation, it's impossible to see the transition between the singles around the solar panels. After the area around the panels was situated, a new ridge vent was installed and the rear skylights were re-flashed. Have solar panels or thinking of installing solar panels on your roof?
