Like many in the Philadelphia area, these homeowners in Doylestown have been looking forward to and planning for Spring. To make sure their home was prepared for the year ahead, they contacted Summit Roofing & Siding to get their exterior in top shape. Age and wind damage had led to a collection of small roof leaks, and new Owens Corning™ Duration shingles were installed. As with every installation, and to correct some existing issues, Summit added a metal drip-edge along the eaves and rake edges. The front of the home was a combination of stucco, stone veneer, and vinyl siding. The homeowners had issues with improper flashing around the windows - a very common issue in our region with stucco and stone installations - this resulted in some wood rot and leak issues. Summit replaced wood in several areas and prepped the surface with HardieWrap vapor barrier. HardiePlank, a fiber cement lap siding from James Hardie, was installed to enhance the look of the house and provide added protection. The overhauled exterior looks terrific and will last many years into the future. Does your home need some attention this Spring? Contact Summit Roofing & Siding for a free estimate!
